Each issue of Hall Happenings will feature a Grandin Hall family. This issue we’re shining a spotlight on Grandin Hall’s newest neighbors, Justin and Jackie Roberts.

Justin and Jackie Roberts

Immediate family: It’s just the two of us right now, but we’re excited to welcome our first baby in July. We also have family right down the street – Larry and Liz Gillihan and their soon-to-be five kids. Liz is Jackie’s sister.

Hometowns: Justin is from Grand Junction, Colorado, and Jackie is from Cincinnati, Ohio.

Professions: We are both in the medical field and met while doing research internships at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in 2011. Justin is now a clinical pharmacy specialist with the VA and Jackie is a second-year pediatrics resident at Riley Children’s Hospital.

Education: Justin attended Colorado Mesa University for his undergraduate degree and pharmacy school at UNC Chapel Hill. Jackie completed her undergrad at Miami University (Oxford, Ohio) and medical school at the University of Cincinnati.

Hobbies: We love the basics: travel, food and beer! Justin grew up camping with his family most weekends in the Colorado and Utah areas, four-wheeling and dirt-biking and climbing but we have not adventured much here yet. He also loves anything basketball (Go Tar Heels!). Jackie’s free time is limited right now, but she likes dance, yoga, being outside as much as possible, and visiting her family’s house on Lake Maxincuckee.
